HOUSEBUILDER EMBARKS ON AN AMBITIOUS YEAR WITH THE LAUNCH OF NEW COVENTRY DEVELOPMENT

Midlands-based housebuilder, Lioncourt Homes, has kicked off an ambitious year of growth with the launch of its largest development to date, located off Bennetts Road in Keresley, less than five miles from the centre of Coventry.

The Croft will deliver 171 new homes when complete, contributing towards the government’s increased housing targets across the region.

Demonstrating its commitment to delivering quality new homes across the Midlands, the award-winning housebuilder has also opened the doors to The Green in Rushwick, just four miles from Worcester, which will deliver 120 homes.

Colin Cole, Chief Executive at Worcester-based Lioncourt Homes, said: “We’ve started the year as we mean to go on, with the opening of not one, but two new developments: The Green in Rushwick and The Croft in Keresley, near Coventry.

“In Coventry, 1,388 new homes are required each year to meet the Government’s housebuilding target. It’s an ambitious target but we are confident that our new homes at The Croft will help to meet local demand, with a range of sizes and styles available, as well as initiatives to help people get onto, and move up, the property ladder.”

The government has committed to delivering 1.5 million more homes over the next five years, with all councils in England given new, mandatory housing targets to help tackle what has been described as the most acute housing crisis in living memory.

Lioncourt Homes has set its own growth target for 2025, aiming to increase output by 35% compared to 2024.

The Croft will include two, three, four and five bedroom homes, with 17 house designs to choose from.

This week, Lioncourt Homes opened the doors to two new show homes at The Croft: ‘The Cypress’ a four bedroom home and ‘The Hazel’, a three bedroom home. Prices for the new homes start from £295,000.

A selection of the new homes are available under the government’s First Homes scheme, whereby eligible first time buyers are able to purchase a property for 30-50% less than its market value.

Colin continued: “The Croft has launched at a favourable time for first time buyers, who are currently facing the final months to take advantage of the current Stamp Duty savings available. I would encourage anyone hoping to buy their first home in 2025 to come and have a look around our new show home to get a flavour of what we’re building.”

Until 31st March 2025, first-time buyers will pay no Stamp Duty on homes up to £425,000, however from April 2025, the exemption will drop to £300,000.

Customers will also benefit from the many sustainable features included within the new homes, such as EV charging  points and smart meters, with solar panels available as standard, exceeding current building requirements.

The new show home and view home at The Croft are now open six days a week, from 10am to 5.30pm.
