Lioncourt Homes has appointed Mike Penn as its new Area Build Manager as the housebuilder embarks on an ambitious growth plan across the Midlands region.

Mike will be responsible for all the housebuilder’s sites in the Worcestershire and Gloucestershire regions, including four new sites that are due to commence in the next couple of months.

Commenting on his appointment, Mike said: “Being born and raised, and currently living, in Worcestershire, means it’s an area that I feel incredibly passionate about. I believe that it is a fantastic place to live and, as such, want to ensure that all our sites, and the homes we deliver, are truly places that people want to call home.

“There are many reasons why I am excited about joining the Lioncourt Homes’ team but, the overriding one is the reputation they have within the industry and more importantly, amongst its customers. Customer satisfaction is at the core of Lioncourt’s beliefs; it influences how they interact, how they sell, how they design and how they build. It’s such a priority and that shows in the quality of what’s built. It aligns with my own beliefs and I’m looking forward to helping ensure our customers continue to be at the heart of all our decisions and actions across our existing and future sites.”

Bringing more than a decade’s experience to the role, Mike will be responsible for overseeing construction activity and on-site teams across Lioncourt Homes’ sites. He will join Scott Whitehouse who is the Area Build Manager for the West Midlands.

Danny Tunstall, Construction Director at Lioncourt Homes, added: “Mike’s experience in the region is a true asset to Lioncourt Homes. His passion, enthusiasm and commitment to delivering high-quality homes aligns strongly with our company beliefs and I’m confident that Mike will play a vital role in supporting our growth plans across the region. It’s great to have him as part of our team.”

Mike joins the Lioncourt Homes’ team from Midlands-based housebuilder, Piper Homes, where he was Project Manager for the Worcestershire region for five years. Prior to that, Mike was promoted from trainee assistant to site manager at Persimmon Homes.

Over the past 6 months, Lioncourt Homes has expanded its team by 12%, with further growth expected in the coming year.

Danny continued: “Lioncourt Homes is currently in a very strong position to achieve our projected growth over the next five years. We are on track to double our number of active sites in the next six months alone, remaining committed to delivering desirable, high-quality homes in the Midlands region.”

Lioncourt Homes currently has six lives sites, located across the Midlands and Buckinghamshire. The high-quality housebuilder achieved a turnover of £65.7m for the year to 31 March 2023, up from £59.6m in 2022. Pre-tax profits climbed from £7m to £9.3m over the same period.
