Please help us to achieve our goal of raising £3000
On 9th-11th June 2017 six brave members of the Lioncourt team will be taking part in the Hope Challenge, Habitat for Humanity’s unique fundraising event for the housebuilding industry.
Habitat for Humanity is one of the world’s leading shelter NGOs. As a humanitarian aid organisation, their mission is to build safe environments where families and communities can thrive. Millions of people live in substandard housing and it locks them into a cycle of poverty. Poverty housing affects people’s health and well-being, their job prospects, and their ability to make a living.
The Hope Challenge is an opportunity for us to help to break this cycle and contribute to transforming the lives of some of the world’s most vulnerable people. In our business we put a roof over the head of our customers and through the Hope Challenge we will be helping to put a roof over the head of the most poverty stricken people throughout the world.
Set in the Derbyshire Peak District, the outdoor challenge will involve designing and building an innovative shelter to live in for two nights. Our six hopefuls will also be participating in a series of fun, mental and physical challenges.

Success in Fast Track 100 for second year
Worcester based Lioncourt Homes has achieved national success once again after being recognised by the Sunday Times for the second consecutive year as one of the fastest growing businesses in the UK.
The housebuilder has been placed at number 77 in the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 league table which ranks Britain’s 100 private companies with the fastest-growing sales over their latest three years. It is compiled by Fast Track and published in The Sunday Times each December, with an awards event the following May, and alumni dinners during the year. It is estimated that there are currently around 5.4 million private businesses in the UK.
Colin Cole, Chief Executive of Lioncourt Homes commented: “This is an outstanding achievement that underlines the great team approach at Lioncourt and how absolutely everyone in the business contributes to our success. We have enjoyed a sustained period of growth which is testament to having a strong investor base, sticking to our ten-year business plan, having two strong businesses, Lioncourt Homes and Lioncourt Strategic Land and maintaining a strong business ethos”.
Founded in 2006, by executive directors Colin Cole and Neil Chandler, Lioncourt has grown from a small regional player to one of the largest home builders and land owners in Central England. This impressive growth has seen rapid turnover and profit growth and has almost doubled the company’s workforce year on year.
In 2015 Lioncourt Homes became one of only 14 housebuilders in the UK to be holders of the prestigious 5 Star Quality Award which is based on direct customer feedback to independent industry body, the House Builders Federation five-star rating. The company’s continued success was recently further highlighted when they were awarded the prestigious accolade of Housebuilder of the Year 2016.
Over the next year, the company has exciting and ambitious plans to increase the number of new homes from 300 to 500 and will be setting up three new offices in the South East, Milton Keynes and Bristol
Lioncourt Homes awarded Housebuilder of the Year
Lioncourt Homes is delighted to have been recognised by winning the HBF Small Housebuilder of the Year Award 2016.
Lioncourt Homes has grown to become a major housebuilder and is recognised as one of the fastest growing housebuilders in the UK. In addition, our company was recently declared the 25th fastest growing business, across all sectors, by the Sunday Times.
It is an amazing success story for our company, which was only formed 10 years ago when Chief Executive Colin Cole decided to walk away from a senior role with Persimmon Homes following its acquisition of another industry giant, Westbury Homes. Based in Worcester, we are now a major employer in the county and have further impressive plans for significant growth in the period ahead.
Colin prefers to talk more about the Lioncourt team, saying, "The success at Lioncourt rests on the fantastic staff, contractors, suppliers and advisors who work tirelessly to make sure that Lioncourt is propelled forward in line with our growth plans, whilst focusing on our overall desire to build quality homes and deliver exceptional service to our customers. Today, Lioncourt Homes has become a very large developer and has over 40 sites throughout central England and are still on a fast track growth path that sees the company expanding its workforce on a continual basis. We have so much to be proud of in the Lioncourt Group and whilst it is important to be successful it is far more important to be successful in the right way. I am particularly pleased that we are one of only 14 housebuilders in the UK to be holders of the prestigious 5 Star Quality Award which is based on direct customer feedback to independent industry body, the House Builders Federation. This typifies everything that is so good about the company.
