Key Responsibilities

 

As a key member of the Lioncourt Homes Site team this is an active and sometimes physically demanding role based on a construction site which will require excellent organisational skills and  communication skills alongside a strong team working ethos.

 

Time driving the forklift will be dependent upon how busy the site is and the Forklift Driver will be required to carry out general laboring duties in order to assist both the Lioncourt Site team and our sub-contract partners on the project. There will be the necessity to traverse the site across and around excavations should the need arise and there will be times of working in inclement weather.

 

Duties Include:

  • Load and unload materials, either in the compound or on site, in a safe and orderly manner whilst using correct company and HS&E procedures. This may also involve manual handling of heavy and / or awkward objects and ensuring that breakages and damage to materials and site equipment are kept to a minimum

 

  • Take pride in ensuring the site and compound are presented to the highest levels of tidiness and free from hazards

 

  • Ensure that materials are stored, moved and supplied to sub-contract partners is a safe, time efficient and orderly manor

 

  • Comply with responsibilities as laid down in Lioncourt Homes Health, Safety and Environment Policy and as explained in site HS&E rules / procedures.

 

  • Wear the appropriate PPE at all times

 

  • Comply with company policies, procedures and instructions at all times

 

  • Taking an active role in ensuring sub-contract workers are following the site rules / procedures

 

  • Complete general laboring duties when the forklift is not required or is out of action. This will include general housekeeping. It may necessitate the climbing of ladders to access scaffolding.

 

  • Maintain the forklift and ancillary items to the required HS&E standards, whilst also ensuring it is clean and well-presented

 

  • Contribute towards improving, protecting and enhancing the reputation of the company, by putting forward new ideas and, when requested to do so, implementing change
