Find a new home from Lioncourt
Pupils from Windsor Park CE Middle School have added a sprinkle of festive cheer to a new housing development in Uttoxeter.
The youngsters were challenged by housing developer Lioncourt Homes to design baubles to decorate a Christmas tree in the show home of their Barley Fields Development. The designs were submitted to a judging panel, who chose Evie Douglas, Matthew Cheadle and Timotej Chovanec as the three winning entries.
Winners were invited to display their works of art and collect their prizes including vouchers and a £200 donation for the school library. This is the second visit for the school following a project year six pupils took part in last year to bury a history time capsule in the grounds of the development.
Polly Jones, Area Sales Manager for Lioncourt Homes said: “We are always keen to make a positive contribution to the communities in which we work so we were thrilled to invite Windsor Park CE Middle School back to our Barley Fields development. The standard of the children’s designs was exceptional, so it was extremely hard to choose the winners. We are delighted to have the baubles on display and would like to thank the children for taking part in the competition and making our show home look so festive.”
Cat Sharples, Head of Creative Faculty for Windsor Park Middle school said: “We are delighted that Windsor Park could take part in this competition this year – our year 7 students really enjoyed designing and then creating their baubles.”
Barley Fields, off Bramshall Road, comprises of 140 new homes including three, four and five-bedroom properties in a range of styles. The development, now in its final phase, has proven extremely popular with only 12 plots still available.
Worcestershire based Lioncourt Homes is one of the largest home builders and landowners in Central England. The last decade has seen the business establish an enviable reputation for quality and it is one of only 15 home builders throughout the UK to hold the coveted 5 Star Quality accreditation.
