Local school children excel in dream home competition.

Pupils at Hook Norton C of E School have been demonstrating their creative talents as part of a community exercise with local housing developer Lioncourt Homes, who are building a new development of 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes next door to the school.

The ‘My dream home’ competition is the brainchild of Lioncourt sales executive Tracy Lively who says ‘’Because hook Norton is such a beautiful village and a fantastic place to live with a bustling community, we wanted to engage with the school and come up with an idea that would give the pupils an opportunity to express their creativity and widen their imagination by designing a house they would like to grow up in. The results have been astounding. The children have put their hearts and souls into this project and picking the winner for each age group has been so difficult, but an absolute privilege.’’

Lioncourt Homes who are building the Scholars’ Gate development next to the school in Hook Norton have also donated a cheque for £200 which will go towards reading books for the children.

Hook Norton C of E Primary School Head Teacher Mr Stone says “The children were delighted to take part in this project with our neighbours Lioncourt Homes. It has allowed all the children at every age group to get involved and explore their creative talents. We’re all so proud of what the children have achieved and it just proves the value and importance of partnerships with outside businesses such as this to help an expanding school where there is so much pressure on resources and budgets are at a critical point.’’
