Lioncourt Homes Tops the List of Worcestershire’s Fastest Growing Companies

Lioncourt Homes has claimed the number one spot in the list of the fastest growing companies in Worcestershire having experienced 123% turnover growth over the three-year period.
The Worcester based company, which was founded in 2006 by Chief Executive Colin Cole, has grown from a small regional developer to one of the largest house builders in Central England with a turnover in excess of £56 million and over 90 employees.

Colin Cole, Group Chief Executive of Lioncourt Homes said: “We are delighted to be recognised as the fastest growing business in Worcestershire whilst maintaining our key focus on quality of build, quality of design and quality of service. In just over 10 years Lioncourt Homes has grown from a concept into the fastest growing housebuilder in the UK. This level of growth reflects the strength and commitment of everyone in the Lioncourt team together with keeping the business simple, by focusing on the important key drivers.”

Worcestershire’s fastest growing mid-sized companies generated £2.4 bn in revenues in the last year contributing to 64% growth over a three-year period. The latest Worcestershire Growth Barometer, published by BDO, identifies the 50 fastest growing mid-sized companies based on average turnover growth.

These are exciting times for the Lioncourt Group where both the Homes Business and the Strategic Land Division are poised for further significant growth. These ambitious plans involve an additional investment of £100 million in new land over the next 12 months to drive turnover from £100 million to £250 million during the next 5 years. At this stage sales will exceed 1,000 new homes per annum and the company will have a portfolio of 100 sites, with a minimum of 35 operating outlets.

In order to prepare for this growth, the Company is engaged in a significant recruitment campaign and has also introduced a new range of house types that are already proving to be a great success with customers. The new homes have evolved over the past few years based on customer feedback, local architectural features and materials, together with the desire to ensure that Lioncourt develop aspirational homes as well as enjoyable and practical communities to live in.

Based on the new home styles, three new developments have recently been launched at Bentham Green, near Cheltenham, Poppy Fields in Shirley, West Midlands and Church View, in Newbold-on-Stour, Warwickshire. All of these new developments have generated considerable interest and as a consequence high levels of reservations have already been achieved.

Over the past 10 years, Lioncourt has established a reputation for quality and is one of only 15 home builders in the UK to hold the coveted 5 Star Quality accreditation. This award is based on independent research undertaken by the Home Builder Federation directly with the purchasers of new homes. A customer satisfaction level of over 90% is required to achieve 5 stars. Quality is a fundamental aspect of the Lioncourt success and will remain a key element of the future growth of the business
