5-star housebuilder supports biodiversity in Olney

Worcestershire-based housebuilder Lioncourt Homes has recently planted 60 trees to further enhance their Olney Gates development in Olney, Buckinghamshire.

Donated by Bryson Building Supplies and their partner Carbon Footprint, the mixture of native species have been planted on a retained wildlife corridor adjacent to the development by landscaping contractor, Fourth Corner.

Lioncourt Homes is committed to creating environmentally friendly homes and communities – not just through innovative design and build, but also by encouraging a more sustainable lifestyle. The housebuilder is setting new standards in energy efficient, low maintenance homes that boast high levels of insulation, water saving and renewable energy whilst maintaining high levels of quality and customer service.

The homes at Olney Gates have proven to be extremely popular and Government figures show the average 1,300 square foot 4-bedroom home will cost £2,791 a year in gas and electricity to run, compared to a 4-bedroom Lioncourt home at just £1,010 – therefore saving homeowners up to £1,781 per year* in energy costs!

Colin Cole, CEO, commented: ‘It is important to us at Lioncourt that we improve biodiversity and ecology wherever we can in the areas we are operating in. I’m extremely proud of what we have achieved at Olney Gates, as we drive forward with our sustainability strategy’.
